Director Armstrong graduated from the University of Southern California with an Accounting degree. Following graduation, he worked for a national accounting firm performing audits on a variety of companies and became a Certified Public Accountant in California (license is now inactive).
Armstrong served a three year tour in the US Army from 1967-1969 as a Captain in the Medical Service Corps. He then joined the Finance Division of Hilton Hotels Corporation in 1972 and held a variety of managerial and executive positions in Las Vegas and at the Corporate Headquarters in California.
Armstrong has a broad background in accounting, risk management, construction management, internal auditing, treasury operations, and corporate finance. He retired as Vice President-Financial Administration of Hilton in 2009. He continues to work part-time for Hilton as a pension plan trustee.
