Peter V. Sevcik is a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of California and is the District’s Director of Engineering and Operations. Mr. Sevcik has served in this capacity since February 2012. Mr. Sevcik joined the District in September 2007 as District Engineer and has twenty-six years of experience in wastewater and water including project management, construction management, design, planning, operations, and maintenance. Mr. Sevcik is responsible for overseeing the planning, design and construction of the District’s capital improvement projects as well as day-to-day District operations and Operations staff.
Mr. Sevcik has a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana, Illinois, and a Masters degree in Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
In October 2015, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Los Angeles Section awarded Mr. Sevcik the prestigious award of “Outstanding Civil Engineer in the Public Sector” for 2015. Previously, in July 2015, he was presented with the award at the ASCE San Luis Obispo County Chapter level.
