Our Water Quality

Sources

Nipomo Community Services District’s water sources include a blend of surface water and groundwater. Along with its 5 operational wells, the District is purchasing water from the City of Santa Maria through the Nipomo Supplemental Water Project.

Testing and Quality

Nipomo Community Services District regularly tests the water to ensure that the water you are drinking is clean and safe. The State of California Department of Health Services mandates and regulates all of the testing of your water.

Annually, the District issues a Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) to its customers. This report is a snapshot of the quality of water that was provided in the previous year. Included in the CCR are details about where your water comes from, what it contains and how it compares to State standards.
